Escape From Tomorrow, which got a lot of attention at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, was filmed guerilla-style at Walt Disney World. That’s why a lot of people suspected that the film itself would never get a general release. However, apparently, it is scheduled to be released in both theaters and via VOD on October 11th.

Wow! Now that’s what I call a fucking trailer!
Right around 0.38-0.41 , where the dude has a head like the EPCOT Center, I decided “that’s it, I simply gotta see this film!” Not sure why that woman was spitting mineral water at me, but even that looked really cool.
Also, you wanna know why they still make films in black and white? THIS is why they still make films in black and white. You take the most colourful place on earth and turn it into a monochrome nightmare. That is totally inspired. This is like Walt Disney meets David Lynch. Brilliant, just brilliant. I do hope that the film lives up to the promise of its trailer.
I’m also hoping for at least one reference in the film regarding Walt Disney being cryogenically frozen.
