My fellow resident writer Lisa Marie posted that the Kia commercial which aired around the time of the Super Bowl was the brest freakin’ commercial ever but I shall disagree and nominate what has to be the best one ever. It’s a series of Old Spice commercials for their line of Body Wash products.
If you’ve already clicked the YouTube video attached above then you can see that it has action, comedy, sci-fi, nature, and Godzilla-style city destruction. All of them delivered by actor Terry Crews who can and will destroy Chuck Norris and that’s without help from his human-eyed tiger.
It was a tough call for me to pick this as the best commercial since a past Old Spice commercial with God (Bruce Campbell) shilling their product was my previous pick for best and greatest ever. But God didn’t have a tiger or city destruction in his Old Spice commercials.
I had not seen any of these before. All very entertaining. I liked the “long ship” portait in the first Bruce Campbell commercial.
Speaking of Bruce, props to “Bubba Ho -Tep”, which I enjoyed even more than “Shaun Of The Dead”, and gets far less appreciation.

Yeah, Bubba Ho-Tep doesn’t get enough love even from horror fans. I actually thought Campbell’s work in that film should’ve at least garnered him much of the best actor awards at genre award shows like Saturn.

But Sockmonkey is so cute and he knows how to ride a jetski and he’s best friends with that freaky little red thing even though the freaky little red thing is a freaky little red thing. 🙂
Terry Crews scares me.
Like Bruce Campbell, though. 🙂

Yeah, Crews is scary, but you have to admit he’s got puh-puh-puh-puh-power!

I like the freaky little red thing the most.
Maybe you all could review “Ho-Tep” one of these days. Elvis muses over some interesting existential issues in his narration, so you would be good at analyzing the film. Ridiiculous fun, but a bit poignant and thought-provoking, as well. Anyone who doesn’t find rhemself rooting for Elvis and Jack simply has no heart.

I am really ashamed to say that I have not seen Bubba Ho-Tep yet and I have really no excuse for it because I love Bruce Campbell and from the 1st time I ever heard the plot, I was like, “That is the greatest thing I have ever heard.” Plus, of course, R-Lee raves about the movie. I think Bubba Ho-Tep was actually the subject of one of the 1st conversations I ever had with him. So, yes, its definitely time for me to see that movie (and review it.) 🙂

They either have no heart or related to the cowboy boots and hat wearing mummy.

Your appreciation of Bruce will only grow stronger. Caveat, though – Elvis has a rather salty vernacular with which he expresses his curmudgeonly viewpoint. So probably not a good film to watch with children or grandparents. Harmless. but a little raw occasionally. But you will like Elvis, no doubt. I agree with Mr. Lee – a standout performance from B.C.
