Bonus Horror Song of the Day: Demon by Claudio Simonetti

Demons (1985, dir by Lamberto Bava)

For today’s bonus song of the day, we have Demon, a track from the soundtrack for the 1985 film, Demons.  This song was composed and performed by Claudio Simonetti, who is best known as the keyboardist of Goblin.

The music video, incidentally, was directed by Michele Soavi, who also appeared in Demons as the mysterious masked man handing out free movie tickets.

Music Video of the Day: Danse Macabre by Duran Duran (2023, dir by ????)

Today’s music video of the day is for the title track of Duran Duran’s 2023 Halloween-themed album.  It’s a good video, one that gives off a definite Tim Burton Before He Want Hollywood sort of feel.

All bands should put out special Halloween albums and videos.  It would certainly make my job a lot easier.

Enjoy!

Music Video of the Day: Atlantis by STRFKR (2013, dir by Vice Cooler)

It’s amazing the things that you see while you’re out running.  Seriously, I start nearly every morning with a run and …. well, I’ve never seen any of the stuff that’s seen in this video but then again, I’m also not running in Portland.

Is this a Halloween video?  Dracula would say yes.

Enjoy!

Music Video of the Day: Texas Goth by Sinnerella (2024, dir by Maximo Joaquin Vazquez)

It’s true!  There are goths in Texas.  There’s actually quite a few of them.  I experimented with being one back when I was eighteen and writing tortured poetry.

So, this video definitely speaks to me.

Enjoy!

Horror Music Video Video Of The Day: Heads Will Roll by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs (2009, dir by Richard Ayoaode)

And indeed, heads do roll in this video!

The werewolf pays homage to Michael Jackson’s Thriller video.  Ironically, Jackson died just a few days before this video was released.  Director Richard Ayoade is the same Richard Ayoade who starred in The IT Crowd and The Watch.  (Remember The Watch?  It wasn’t that bad.)

By the way, this video is a part of a Halloween playlist put together by our own Patrick!

Enjoy!
