This music video has a retro feel to it that I like.  It’s like an old film about one of those wonderfully sordid wedding ceremonies that rich people have on the Isle of Capri.  All that’s missing is Fernando Rey smoking a cigarette.

Let’s hang out with Mel C in Ibiza!

This song is used in Bend It Like Beckham, which is one of my favorite movies.  According to Wikipedia, this song is also featured in Viva Forever!, a musical based on the songs of the Spice Girls.  There’s a Spice Girls stage musical?  Why didn’t I know this?

Today’s music video of the day is heaven in a box!

Geri Halliwell’s boyfriend doesn’t appreciate her so she drugs him and then brainwashes him.  Whatever works!  Her boyfriend is played by Aiden Turner, who also played Aiden Devane on All My Children.  Aiden left the show in 2009 and it was canceled two years later.  Coincidence?  I think not.

Back in the day, Lisa and I would annoy the rest of our family by singing this song at the top of our lungs.  The only part that we really knew was the part about bagging it up.

This is a song that I will always associate with funerals and charity commercials.  I feel either sad or guilty every time that I hear it.
