Tonight will mark the 92nd year that the Oscars have been awarded. The Academy Awards are now an American tradition and, just as America has changed over the past 10 decades, so have the Oscars.

Through the Shattered Lens 
What a great collection of moments – good and bad! I was lucky enough to attend the ceremony 5 times, including the infamous David Letterman “Uma…Oprah” show! The energy all day long outside is electric, the Governors Ball a blast, a true celebration of cinema and Hollywood. Sadly, the shine has gone off the show in the past decade, and I really hope tonight is another step back to prominence…we will be watching – drinking deviled egg Martini and champagne! Cheers!

Compare the photo from 1980 to the one from 2025 and try telling me that the Oscars still mean anything. The Academy has zero credibility.
