Best Supporting Actress — Ariana Grande, Wicked

Best Original Screenplay — A Real Pain

Best Adapted Screenplay — Conclave

Best Animated Feature — The Wild Robot

Best Production Design — Wicked

Best Cinematography — Nosferatu

Best Costume Design — Wicked

Best Film Editing — Conclave

Best Makeup and Hairstyling — Wicked

Best Sound — Dune Part II

Best Visual Effects — Dune Part II

Best Original Score — The Brutalist

Best Original Song — Never Too Late from Elton John: Never Too Late

Best Documentary Feature — Sugarcane

Best International Feature: I’m Still Here

Some interesting upsets you have here…most feel that Zoe Saldaña is a lock for Supporting Actress, kind of a “don’t blame her for what happened” award…as for Best Picture, I’d be so happy for that to happen but if “Conclave” wins it is due to the weighted vote, meaning a film that gets a ton of #2 and #3 votes can be a #1 vote getter if that film also has polarizing votes much lower…weird to do it that way but what can you do…also, I think it’s Demi – Oscar loves a comeback! Whatever happened, a fun nit of TV awaits!

  2. I saw at least ten better performances than Madison’s so far this year and 24 better movies than Anora, so they will probably take it. Of those nominated, Moore deserves to win, but so did Gladstone last year.

    You’re probably right about most of those – what a disappointing year for awards movies. I’m pretty used to saying this, although at least last year there were several deserving films.

    • Sure enough, the Oscars will always reward a one-note, unsubtle caricature over an actual performance for its “best actress”. Every single year. Preposterous.
