I can’t wait for Anchorman 2 to be released later this year. Until then, here’s my favorite scene from the first Anchorman. How did Brick manage to get a hand grenade and a trident?

Wow. I knew local news is a competitive business, but I didn’t know it’s that tough. Damn!

I don’t know, but he should find a relative or safe house – because he’s probably wanted for murder..

“Como estan, beechez!” (That actor is clearly a native Spanish-speaker.)
OK. I’ve watched this at least 10 times now, and I still laugh out loud each time. I especially like that sequence wherein one guy gets thrown 30 feet through a windshield, the flaming man stumbles by, a guy gets dragged by horses, and Rick throws a pitch fork (I wonder what happened to the grenade) at one of the horseman. I also like the Public Television guy cutting off the Channel 2 News guy’s arm, and then refinedly taking another puff from his pipe. But the entire scene is funny.
I watched the first half of this movie on video with a friend, who fell asleep at that point. So I went home, and never saw the rest of the film. Up to that point, I thought it was more strange and awkward than funny. I don’t know if the second half was much better or not, but this fight scene alone gives the film some merit.
This is the funniest thing I have seen in a while. Thank you, Erin.
