  1. Thank God someone else believes James Franco is getting screwed. With all due respect to Colin Firth, who no doubt gave an admirable performance, what Franco did was one of the best in a decade. I’d probably go Firth #2, Eisenberg #3 and Bridges #4. Lotso from Toy Story would get my #5 spot.

    • It’ll be interesting to see, tomorrow, how the actual nominations compare with my dream nominations. It seems pretty obvious that Firth, Franco, Portman, Lawrence, Bale, and Steinfeld will all be nominated. I also think that John Hawkes and hopefully Jacki Weaver have a pretty good chance of earning some recognition. And out of my 10 best picture nominees, I think King’s Speech, Winter’s Bone, Inception, and Black Swan will all be nominated and maybe 127 Hours too. How To Train Your Dragon and Toy Story 3 are pretty much locks for Best Animated Film nominations (and maybe Despicable Me too but I think the third spot will go to the Illusionist). Exit Through The Gift Shop and Restrepo will probably both get Documentary nominations. Otherwise, I have a feeling that the actual Oscar nominations will be far different from my personal nominations.

It’ll be interesting tomorrow to compare the amount of nominations the Academy gives to both the The Social Network and The Kids Are All Right as compared to the amount of nominations that I gave them. 🙂
